Why Choose a Small Cabinet Shop?
When it comes to creating custom cabinetry for your home or project, the shop you choose makes all the difference. Here’s why working with a small cabinet shop delivers unmatched benefits, especially when compared to larger or box store options.

Personalized Service, Every Step of the Way
With us, you’re not just another project number; you’re a valued partner. From the moment you reach out to discuss your vision, you’ll work with one dedicated expert who handles everything—design, production, installation and customer service. This single point of contact ensures:
- Clear Communication
You’re always talking to the person who knows your project inside and out, so there’s no confusion or need to repeat details. - Tailored Expertise
With deep knowledge of cabinetry, your contact can guide you through every decision, offering thoughtful advice and creative solutions. - Streamlined Process
Without the layers of departments or middlemen, questions are answered faster, changes are implemented seamlessly, and every detail stays on track.

Fewer Hands, Better Results
In larger companies, responsibilities are divided among many people. While that might seem efficient, it often leads to:
- Miscommunications between departments.
- Delays when passing information up the chain.
- A lack of accountability when something goes wrong.
In a small shop, one person takes ownership of your entire project. They’re involved in every phase—from initial consultation to the final delivery. This hands-on approach ensures:
- Greater Accountability: We are personally invested in the success of your project.
- Consistent Quality: The same expert overseeing your design also monitors its craftsmanship, guaranteeing a cohesive, high-quality result.

A Relationship, Not Just a Transaction
Big companies often treat customers as numbers, but a small shop sees you as a partner. The personal connection you build with your cabinetmaker means:
- Your unique preferences and priorities are always top of mind.
- You feel confident and valued throughout the process.
- Future projects are approached with the same care and familiarity, creating a long-term relationship you can trust.

Efficiency Without Sacrificing Quality
Because small shops are nimble, they can:
- Respond quickly to design changes or special requests.
- Offer custom solutions that big-box stores simply can’t match.

Build Quality: Where Durability Meets Excellence
While we will accommodate by special request for materials, here is our starting point for residential cabinetry.

Finishes: Premium Eco-Friendly Finishes
- Modern waterborne technology
- Finish performance meets or exceeds their solvent-borne counter parts
- The clear finishes we use for stain grade do not have the “plastic” look
Off-gassing: How This Affects You
Off-gassing refers to the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air as a product, such as a finish, cures. These compounds can affect indoor air quality and may have health implications, especially in poorly ventilated spaces.
- Waterborne:
Shorter Duration: Off-gassing is minimal and typically resolves completely within a few days to weeks, thanks to the low VOC content. This makes waterborne finishes a safer and more convenient option for your home and family. - Solvent-Borne:
Longer Duration: Off-gassing can persist for weeks or even months as solvent-based finishes fully cure. During this time, VOCs are released into your home, potentially impacting indoor air quality and your family’s health.

But, can you produce?
- Automation
We continue to invest into automation as much as possible. Through the use of software, CNC, sanders, saws, shapers and other equipment we are able to keep up with the current demand. - Lead time
While this can vary mainly due to job size, in general we aim for around 12 weeks out from final sign off on drawings to install. On larger projects the overall timeline can be longer but the above still stands as much of the lead time is spent designing or finalizing details. - Job Size
We often complete full house cabinetry packages, however we are very upfront about possible delays or longer lead times due to extra large or detailed projects. We find good communication and planning is key here for all parties. - Limitations
As a small shop, we can’t be everywhere at once—once our schedule is full, it’s full. Contact us now to secure your spot.

A Real-Life Example:
Example #1 Imagine needing a quick update on your cabinet delivery date or wanting to make a minor adjustment to your design. At a large company, you’d likely:
- Call customer service, wait on hold, and speak to someone unfamiliar with your project.
- Be transferred to a designer or production manager, repeating your explanation several times.
- Get partial or wrong answers along the way, wondering if you really have this resolved.
Example #2 The product arrives damaged or missing pieces
- After getting off hold you find out it’ll be weeks or months before the missing or replacement parts will arrive.
- You’re worried it will happen again on the next delivery, and the holidays are right around the corner…
In a small shop
- You simply pick up the phone or send a quick text or email, and the person who designed and crafted your cabinets answers. It’s efficient, stress-free, and makes you feel valued.
- Missing or damaged parts aren’t common, but when it does happen it’s usually just a few days. Sometimes the same day.
